Summer Learning Journey Lesson one

I have been finding out some information for the Summer Learning Journey about the United Kingdom.  Here are some of the questions I need to find



London is the capital city of England and there are 8.13 million people living there.   In January it is winter in London and it is usually cold and wet.  It is in the south east of the country.  English is the most spoken language in London followed by Polish, Bengali, Gujarati, French, Urdu and Arabic.

Finishing my Spelling

WALT get better at our spelling by doing a variety of activities with list words.

Each week we get a different list and activities to complete by the end of the week.  This is my list Twenty One.  I am proud because it is finished

How to make a yummy hot chocolate.

Hot chocolate

marshmallow

1 get a cup and a pot.

2 heat the milk in a pot.

3 get some marshmallow.

4 get some cocoa powder.

5 put the cocoa powder in the cup.

6 when the milk is finish tip some milk in to the cup.

7 mix the cup with the milk in it.

8 open the Packet of the marshmallow.

9 put two marshmallow in it.

10 mix the ingredients that is in the cup with the teaspoon.

11 drink it.

12 Enjoy it.

W.A.L.T  Write instructions 

Here is my one.

• Wash your hands and dry them.

• Get a chopping board.
• get the 2 pieces of bread,ham and cheese.
• Get a Grater, plate and knife.
• Get the bread out of the packet.
• Put the 2 pieces of bread on the plate.
• Spread the butter on the bread.
• Grate the cheese.
• Get the tomatoes and slice it into circle.
• Sprinkle the grated cheese on the bread that has the butter.
• Put tomato on the cheese
• Get one or two lettuce leaves and put on top of the cheese
• Get the other bread and put it on top.
• Pick up the sandwich that you made.
• Enjoy it.

Painting a picture in a readers head

WALT use our scenes in our writing to paint a picture in our head.
Here is an example of my writing.  Can you imagine the scenes in your head?

I was going on a spy mission down in the UK. I saw some people walking across the Military Base. I went inside and hid in a box. Bang! A gun shot at me. I was so so scared I ran back out then everyone started to chase me. I called back up then my whole team come in tanks. Boom ! Boom ! Boom ! Boom ! The tanks in my team shot the enemy all down. I was hiding in a bush it felt like I was looking for any bad people that had survived.
